For the popular lodges and the dry season months of June to October, six to nine months ahead is wise. The well-known properties sell out. With more notice we have more to choose from, but we have also built trips on shorter timelines.
Yes. Some travellers want the full journey designed; others only need the lodges, or only the excursions. We are happy to handle whichever part you would rather not arrange yourself.
You call us. A closed road, a missed connection, a change of plan, we rearrange what needs rearranging from Windhoek while you keep travelling. This is the part of the service our customers value most.
For most of our routes, yes, or at least a high-clearance vehicle. Namibia's best places sit at the end of gravel roads. As an Advanced Car Hire sister company, we arrange the right vehicle with your journey in one booking.
The dry season, May to October, brings clear skies and the best wildlife viewing as animals gather at waterholes. The green season, November to April, brings dramatic skies, newborn animals, and fewer travellers. Both are excellent; it depends what you want to see.

Namibia is one of Africa's most stable and welcoming countries for independent travel. As with anywhere, it rewards preparation: driving distances are long, fuel stops are sparse, and conditions change with the season. We have written a full guide in our journal.
